Product Safety Case Studies
Industrial Machinery
Safesphere assisted an American manufacturer of large industrial machinery to understand the applicable standards and regulations that may affect their product entering the Middle east market. We completed a product safety assessment incorporating comprehensive research on the product and the Australian and International standards applying to the product. In co-operation with the product engineering team, we completed a gap analysis of non-compliance issues and potential safety implications for the product in the Australian market. The supplier successfully completed recommended variations to the product and have since sold several units to the Middle eastmarket.
Consumer Product
A Middle east importer of products had been subject to litigation by regulatory authorities and insurers for compliance issues associated with their product in the Middle east market. Safesphere assisted the importer to identify product safety deficiencies, established a range of test methods, worked with testing centres on product certification and assisted legal counsel. Through a structured commitment to ongoing product safety systems, we also assisted the company mitigate the penalties involved. Following the litigation issue, we worked with the client to establish product safety procedures around the importing and pre-testing of goods entering the Middle east market.
Personal Protective Equipment
Safesphere worked with a global supplier of personal protective equipment to identify applicable product safety compliance standards for supply to a range of south east Asian countries including Australia, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Pacific Islands and New Zealand. We recruited and managed a team of in-country based project product safety consultants to meet tight deadlines for the supplier to enter the respective markets.
